The Carr Mercury is the perfect 1x12 combo for anyone that needs the tone and feel of a dimed tube amp at very friendly volumes. Its transparent built-in attenuator lets you go from 8 watts down to 2, 1/2, or even 1/10th of a watt, making it a no-brainer for studio work, home use, or intimate club gigs. In addition to juicy drive tones, the Mercury's single-ended, Class-A EL34 circuit also produces beautiful vintage American clean tones. Options for sonic sculpting abound, with a 3-position boost switch, treble and bass controls, a treble cut switch, and deep, lush spring reverb. With a quick re-bias, the Carr Mercury will even run on KT66, KT88, 6550, or 6L6 output tubes, offering the adventurous tone seeker an even broader palette of tonal colors to paint with. -
Demo review of the HT 40 by Luke of Awaking Mercury. Blackstar is making great amps for a great price. I find them to be very versatile for any style you are looking to cover. I am playing with a Gibson ES 339. Add my band I have had a lot of amps in the past. For the price there is nothing that comes close to what i need in an amp.
